Our fee structure

• During the initial consultation we will determine the nature of your problem, see whether we can help you and, if so, at what cost
• We are more than happy to accommodate you by accepting reasonable monthly installments or payment via credit card
• If you need financial assistance to pay our fees, CredAssist (Pty) Ltd will fund your legal costs and allow you to pay over an extended period (6 to 48 months - and up to 60 months for FNB clients) and pay us directly. This is for a divorce, criminal case, civil case, labour case or any other form of legal work. This is possible if you qualify for financial assistance under the National Credit Act. • Our fees are exclusive of VAT and do not include disbursements that we lay out on your behalf
• We would require you to sign our standard fee agreement so that the scope of the work, the method of calculating the fee and the payment terms are in writing

• Promise an honest and frank assessment of your case
• Set expectations with you up front (what you expect and the likelihood of achieving it)
• Define the scope of our mandate
• Determine what features or services are important to you
• Offer alternative billing arrangements such as 'value billing' where our fees are based upon the value of the work performed rather than the number of hours worked.
